A Note From Ms. Woodrich

Dear Heritage Families,

This week has been both busy and fulfilling at Heritage! We had the honor of hosting the Bennington Public Schools Veterans Day Program, and it was truly a special event.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to Mrs. Vander Laan for her dedication and hard work in organizing such a meaningful program. It was a wonderful celebration of our community and a sincere tribute to those who have served. We are so grateful to all of our Veterans who joined us—your presence made the day truly memorable.

On Wednesday, students participated in Badger Time, where the focus was on self-awareness—recognizing how we feel and expressing those feelings in positive, healthy ways with others. Understanding ourselves helps us better connect, learn, and grow together, and our students did an excellent job engaging with this important topic.

We also celebrated our November Students of the Month! We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, kindness, and leadership. We are equally proud of our entire student body—their excitement in celebrating the success of others truly demonstrates the strong sense of community we have here at Heritage.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us foster a positive, engaging, and enriching environment for all students.

ONE TEAM. SAME COMMITMENT.

Take care,
Ms. Woodrich
Heritage Principal

Congratulations to Claire and Lucy for being this week's Heritage Heroes! Claire was caught being RESPONSIBLE and KIND by spending time at recess picking up the playground without being asked. Lucy was caught being RESPECTFUL and KIND by coming up with an idea to praise teachers for their hard work. Congratulations, Heritage is so proud!

Remote Learning Days

Heritage Elementary students are bringing home their Remote Education Day packets today. These materials will be used only if we experience a 3rd and/or 4th snow day this winter. Families received initial information about this new Remote Education Day plan from the district on October 28th.

Inside the packet, you’ll find clear directions and activities your child can complete at home should we reach those additional snow days. Please keep the packet in a safe place so it’s easy to access if needed.

If a Remote Education Day is called, teachers will be available by email to answer questions and support students throughout the day.
