Dear Heritage Families,
We have had a busy and productive week at Heritage! Students continued participating in the MAP assessments in Reading and Math. This information provides teachers with valuable insight into what each individual child is ready to learn next and helps us identify any areas where additional support may be needed. We are incredibly proud of the impressive growth our students are showing.
If you have not yet had the opportunity to see how wonderful the Bennington community is, please take a moment to explore the link below. We are so proud to be part of such an exceptional district.
On Wednesday, students participated in Badger Time, focusing on building positive relationships by practicing listening, sharing, and working cooperatively with others.
Thank you for your continued support as we move through this exciting and productive time of year. We appreciate our partnership with you.
Also, we want to extend a huge THANK YOU to our PTO for giving our teachers and staff the amazing holiday gift of quality time together while enjoying a potato bar and holiday soda bar. We appreciate all they do for our school.
ONE TEAM. SAME COMMITMENT.
Take care,
Ms. Woodrich
Heritage Principal

Congratulations to our December Student of the Month winners! Heritage is so proud of all of you, keep up the good work! |
We want to extend a huge thank you to the PTO and our room parent volunteers for planning this wonderful celebration for our students!
Parents are welcome to stop in for a quick visit during the celebration. We kindly ask that you be respectful of the time, effort, and planning our volunteers have put into making this event special for the students, and please offer your support to our room parents.
Please note that younger siblings may not attend due to limited space and resources in the classroom. If you plan to stop by, please make sure you have a volunteer form completed prior to the event.
If you are interested in becoming a room parent, supporting a room parent planning these events, or would just like more information about what being a room parent entails, please feel free to reach out to the PTO Outreach Coordinator at heritageptooutreach@gmail.com.
Thank you for your support!

Just a reminder to send your children to school with a warm coat, hat and mittens. Breakfast and Reading/Walking club kids come in at 7:45. All other kids wait outside until 8:00. If the "feels like" temperature is 20 degrees or below; all kids will come in at 7:50 and wait in assigned hallway areas until 8:00.
For recess, we go outside unless the 'feels like' temperature is 20 degrees or below. If there is snow on the playground, students will need to bring snow boots and snow gear and be able to dress themselves in the snow gear to play in the snowy areas. If they do not have the appropriate gear, they will play on the blacktop and non-snowy areas.
Please label all of their belongings. This way our lost and found doesn't grow.

If you plan to come visit during lunchtime, please let the office know by 9:00am if you are going to purchase a school lunch so we can prepare enough food. Lunches are $4.90 for adults, and no change can be given.
You are more than welcome to bring food from home, but please NO fast food. If you are bringing a peanut or tree nut item in your lunch, please do NOT sit at our peanut free table in the cafeteria. Thank you!

Bennington Public Schools has updated our procedures for volunteers working with students. We truly value the time and talents our parents and caregivers share with our school community! If you plan to volunteer at school this year-whether in the classroom, at events, or on a field trip-please take a moment to review the new procedures. If you would like to volunteer, simply complete this application form, sign it, and return it to the school office.
If you have filled out a form in the past and have already been approved, you're all set.-no need to complete it again. If you're not sure of your status or have any questions, our office staff is happy to help. Just give the office a call at 402-238-2095.
