Dear Heritage Families,
As we wrap up the first semester of learning, we want to extend our sincere thanks to you for your continued partnership and support. Your involvement, encouragement, and collaboration play a vital role in your child’s success, and we are truly grateful for the trust you place in us each day.
This week, our students had a wonderful time celebrating with classroom parties and an all-school assembly with magician Jeff Quinn to wrap up the semester. It was a joyful way to recognize their hard work and accomplishments over the past months.
Together, we have celebrated growth, worked through challenges, and supported our students academically, socially, and emotionally. Your commitment to your children and to our school community helps make Heritage a positive and nurturing place to learn.
Thank you for being such an important part of our school family. We wish you a relaxing and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to continuing our work together in the second semester.
ONE TEAM. SAME COMMITMENT.
With appreciation,
Ms. Woodrich
Heritage Principal

Congratulations to our December Student of the Month winners! Heritage is so proud of all of you, keep up the good work! |
Congratulations to Lucy and Mr. Wright for being this week's Heritage Heroes! Lucy was caught being KIND by writing a kind note to another classmate. Mr. Wright was caught being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and KIND by having perfect attendance as a long term sub. Congratulations, Heritage is so proud! |
Just a reminder to send your children to school with a warm coat, hat and mittens. Breakfast and Reading/Walking club kids come in at 7:45. All other kids wait outside until 8:00. If the "feels like" temperature is 20 degrees or below; all kids will come in at 7:50 and wait in assigned hallway areas until 8:00.
For recess, we go outside unless the 'feels like' temperature is 20 degrees or below. If there is snow on the playground, students will need to bring snow boots and snow gear and be able to dress themselves in the snow gear to play in the snowy areas. If they do not have the appropriate gear, they will play on the blacktop and non-snowy areas.
Please label all of their belongings. This way our lost and found doesn't grow.

If you plan to come visit during lunchtime, please let the office know by 9:00am if you are going to purchase a school lunch so we can prepare enough food. Lunches are $4.90 for adults, and no change can be given.
You are more than welcome to bring food from home, but please NO fast food. If you are bringing a peanut or tree nut item in your lunch, please do NOT sit at our peanut free table in the cafeteria. Thank you!

Bennington Public Schools has updated our procedures for volunteers working with students. We truly value the time and talents our parents and caregivers share with our school community! If you plan to volunteer at school this year-whether in the classroom, at events, or on a field trip-please take a moment to review the new procedures. If you would like to volunteer, simply complete this application form, sign it, and return it to the school office.
If you have filled out a form in the past and have already been approved, you're all set.-no need to complete it again. If you're not sure of your status or have any questions, our office staff is happy to help. Just give the office a call at 402-238-2095.
