A Note From Ms. Woodrich

Heritage Families,

We had an amazing turnout for Pancakes and Partnerships this past Saturday! It was wonderful to see so many Heritage families together in one place. We truly have an amazing school community!

I also wanted to share a quick update on our attendance goal. Our goal is for students to be at school 97% of the days this school year. In August, our attendance rate was 96.91%, and in September, it was 96.72%. We are so close to reaching our goal each month!

Did you know that students with good attendance tend to have higher grades and greater confidence? Regular attendance also helps students build strong friendships and feel connected to their school community. We love having our students at Heritage, and every day they are here matters!

A special thank you to Teammates, the Bennington Public Library, and our PTO for joining us for Pancakes and Partnerships and helping make it such a great event.

We also had a rainy week, but that didn't stop our PTO Movie Night on Thursday! We had another great turnout and loved seeing so many families come together. A huge thank you to our PTO for hosting this event and continuing to create opportunities for our Heritage community to connect. We are so fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers who work hard to make these special events possible for our students and families.

Looking ahead to next week:
  • Wednesday, October 7: October Student of the Month Assembly
  • Wednesday, October 7: Early Dismissal
  • Thursday, October 8: Picture Retake Day and Emergency Drills
Thank you for being such an important part of our Heritage community. We are so grateful for our students, families, staff, and volunteers who make Heritage such a special place to be!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Soaring to New Heights!

Take care,
Ms. Woodrich
Heritage Principal

Preschool Peer Models

Would you like your child to be a peer model in preschool next year?

The BPS preschool program is held at Anchor Pointe Elementary School. Our program serves students on a 50/50 basis, meaning 50% of the students in each class have an Individualized Education Plan (they qualify as a student with a disability). The other 50% of our students are considered peer role models and do not have identified special education needs.

How to Apply
On October 1st, visit the Early Childhood Website for information about how to apply for preschool peer screenings.
