A Note From Ms. Woodrich

Heritage Families,

What a wonderful week at Heritage! During Badger Time, our focus was on the I Can Statement: “I can take care of myself.” Students learned about the importance of taking care of their bodies, belongings, learning, and feelings. These are important skills that help our students grow as learners and build independence.

We also had the opportunity to celebrate our October Students of the Month! It is always exciting to hear about the amazing things our students are doing to demonstrate our Heritage expectations of being Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Kind. One of my favorite parts of these assemblies is watching our students celebrate one another. They show such genuine excitement and kindness when their classmates are recognized, and it is a wonderful reflection of the culture we continue to build together at Heritage. We are so proud of our Badgers!

Thanks to the success of our fundraiser, students also enjoyed an exciting Wildlife Encounters assembly! Students attended either a K–2 or 3–5 presentation and had the opportunity to experience an engaging and memorable program. A huge thank-you to our Heritage PTO for sponsoring these assemblies and making this special learning experience possible for our students. We are grateful for the many ways our PTO supports opportunities that enrich learning beyond the classroom.

Next week, we look forward to welcoming our families to Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, October 13, and Wednesday, October 14. We are excited to connect with you, celebrate your child's growth, and share the wonderful learning and progress that have taken place since the beginning of the school year. These conversations are an important part of the partnership between home and school, and we appreciate the time you take to be involved in your child's education.
Thank you for being such an important part of our Heritage family. We look forward to seeing you next week!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Soaring to New Heights!

Take care,
Ms. Woodrich
Heritage Principal

Bennington Public Schools has updated our procedures for volunteers working with students. We truly value the time and talents our parents and caregivers share with our school community! If you plan to volunteer at school this year-whether in the classroom, at events, or on a field trip-please take a moment to review the new procedures. If you would like to volunteer, simply complete this application form, sign it, and return it to the school office.

If you have filled out a form in the past and have already been approved, you're all set.-no need to complete it again. If you're not sure of your status or have any questions, our office staff is happy to help. Just give the office a call at 402-238-2095.
